Our School

Our Prefects are our school’s role models. Our Head Prefects lead a team of pupils who work tirelessly across school to support both pupils and staff.

Prefects are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of behaviour and attitude at all times, providing a positive role model for other pupils across the school.

 

Meet our Team

Hello, my name is Zach and I’m one of four head prefects here at The Hollins. As you may think, the step up from primary school is a massive leap for pupils but The Hollins offers one of the most comforting and welcoming environments in the area. The staff are always there to help and its safe to say since the day I joined in year 7 it’s never been anything less of that. As a member of The Hollins for the past few years, I’ve represented the school proudly in sporting events like Football and Athletics, while also being part of the Let’s Be Foundation which offers exciting opportunities to pupils with things such as Christmas market trips, Creative Projects and Football trips. The Hollins also has a fantastic reputation in the community for its involvement in charity events such as the great elderly tea party.

Hi, I’m Lucy C, and I’m one of the head prefects here at The Hollins. I have had the opportunity to represent our school at various sports events and have enjoyed every minute. I know high school might feel like a scary new world right now, but it will very soon become an exciting new journey. My goal as head prefect is to support and ensure you get the most out of your experience at school. Remember everyone’s in the same boat, and it’s okay to ask for help or feel a bit nervous. High school goes too fast, so make sure you cherish every moment!

Hello, my name is Lucy P and I am one of the head prefects at The Hollins who has a goal to create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone here at The Hollins along with our future pupils who will be supported every step of the way on their new journey. But still the idea of the transition from Year 6 up to Year 7 will be intimidating but the time you spend here will quickly fly by as each day will bring new memories, challenges and friendships which will always stay with you and help you to grow. So enjoy every day and don’t be afraid to be yourself, as we can’t wait to see the incredible things you do!

Hi, my name is Hameed, and I am proud to serve as one of the head prefects here at The Hollins. Inside school, I love participating in the school’s performing arts department, especially the annual school musical. For those who will be joining us in the coming years, I understand it can feel a little daunting moving up from Year 6, but I can assure you it quickly becomes an exciting new chapter. As a head prefect, my aim is to make sure every pupil feels supported, valued and appreciated for being themselves till the very end of their adventure here at our school.

 

Pupil Parliament

Last year saw the launch of Pupil Parliament at The Hollins. Pupil Parliament aims to give pupils the opportunity to have their say, from the environment they learn in to standards and structures within school.
In order to earn their position on Pupil Parliament, pupils had to campaign and create a manifesto. They then addressed their year group assembly to their peers, aiming to win their votes.
Pupils then took to the polls and cast their vote.
This year will see Pupil Parliament take a lead in the any changes or enhancements in school.  They will meet to discuss the important things their constituents have brought to them and look to make a positive difference in school.
