To ensure that we do whatever we can to keep pupils and staff safe in school we ask that you arrange for your son/daughter to arrive at the following times and at the named entrances.  The early arrival of pupils does not allow us to maintain the social distancing of our year group bubbles.

Y11  arrive at 8.40  and enter school via the Covered Way – Car Park Door
Y10 arrive 8.40  and enter school via the Covered Way – Room 17 Entrance
Y9 arrive 8.55 and enter school via the Covered Way – Car Park Door
Y8 arrive 8.50 and enter school via theCovered Way – Room 17 Entrance
Y7arrive  8.50 and enter school via the Main Entrance – Reception

Please do not send your son/daughter to school before this time unless you have made arrangements with Mrs Dougan via douganh@thehollins.com.
Separate plans have been put in place for those on the school bus. These pupils will use the Main Entrance
when they arrive.

Break time:

Pre-packaged cold snacks and drinks will replace the hot snacks at break. You will purchase these from your unstructured time areas.

When wet outside, you will stay in these indoor areas. When dry outside you will be allowed into your designated outside areas.

There will be no need for you to take your bags and coats with you as you are likely to return to the same classroom. There will be no use of lockers during these times to prevent unnecessary equipment being brought into school, and to lower the risk of cross-contamination.

Lunchtime:

There will be 2 hot options and a selection of sandwiches.

There will be an expectation that you eat for the first 15 minutes of lunchtime and then either stay in your eating areas or go outside to play.

Years 8 and 10 (12.45-1.15):

Year 8 will go down the second set of stairs to the. Your outside play area will be the big yard. At the end of lunchtime you will move from the big yard/canteen into the hall, back up the second set of stairs to your classrooms.

Year 10 will move from classrooms down the link corridor into the covered way which will be your eating area. Your outdoor area will be the small yard. At the end of lunchtime, you will move from the small yard/covered way into the link corridor via the small yard doors.

Year 9 and 11 (1.15-1.45):

Year 9 will move down the second set of stairs (rooms 3 and 4 move through to rooms 9 and 10), or else come straight from rooms 17 and 18, and go straight to the canteen via the restricted pathway in the covered way – the canteen will be your eating area. Your outdoor area will be the big yard which will be accessed via the sliding doors in the covered way. At the end of lunchtime you will move from the canteen/big yard to the second set of stairs and back into classrooms.

Year 11 will move from classrooms to the covered way via the small yard doors/DT corridor – this will be your eating area. Your outdoor area will be the small yard. At the end of lunchtime you will move from the small yard/covered way (via small yard doors/DT corridor) back to your classrooms.
