Exam and Exam Support

Welcome to the exams section of our website.  Students should take the time to familiarise themselves with examination timetables and act upon any advice given by subject teachers regarding specific assessment types.  For more detailed guidance relating to formal external examinations such as GCSE’s, students and parents should follow the links below which will highlight key dates and give further information with regards to examination awarding bodies.

For this year’s GCSE examination timetable please visit  here

Please note: For the summer 2020 exam series a ‘contingency’ exam day has been arranged by the examination awarding bodies which all students need to be aware of. This contingency day for GCSE examinations has been put in place “in the event of widespread, sustained national or local disruption to examinations during the June 2020 examination series.  The date that has been set aside as the contingency day is Wednesday 24th June 2020. This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 24th June 2020.

Please can all parents and carers make a note of the new contingency exam date, in the event that an awarding body needs to invoke its contingency plan. To summarise, all year 11 pupils need to be available for their GCSE exams between Monday 11th May and Wednesday 24th June 2020.  The letter detailing this can be found here
